We are a group of women (no men at present), who meet the first and third Saturday of every month.  We are a friendly group and are happy to welcome new members to join us.

We have sew and chat sessions most weeks, swap shops occasionally where you can sell any excess stash you may have.

Twice a year we have professional workshops, in the past few years we have had visits from Maryke of Batiks and Beads when we learnt how to make a very unusual wall hanging. Jan Hassard taught us how to make a very impressive Log Cabin Star. Everyone who attended the workshop with Chris from Mabon Arts was thrilled with their Little Houses they made. Deborah O’Hare showed us an easy way of making beautiful  landscapes from small strips that you would normally throw away. We also have members workshops were you can pick up tips and learn new techniques.

Twice a year we hire a bus to take members to The Four Counties Showground in Malvern Worcester for the Spring and Autumn Quilt Shows. We all have a lovely day out with likeminded friends, some members attend the workshops that are on offer and are much enjoyed. We admire the award winning quilts that are on display adding yet more to our stash from the many retailers that attend.

We have a few Saturdays a year when we make things to try and benefit the community. For example at Christmas 2013 we were able to present Women’s Aid with some lovely quilts we had made for which they were  very grateful.  During 2014 we made syringe bags for Velindre  Hospital.

At our A G M and Christmas party we have a guest speaker and a trader.  We are always tempted to buy more stash from the trader to look at and gently caress before we put it back away to save for that special project.
